Classroom Analysis Of Various Plastics, Paul D. Harrington
Classroom Analysis Of Various Plastics, Paul D. Harrington
Graduate Research Papers
In the junior high plastics course this writer. teaches, the students display more interest in the manipulative activities of the laboratory than in the sit-down classroom activities. The results of this tend to be a once-over-lightly treatment of the technical aspects of plastics and more hands on craft type activities in the laboratory. To bring more balance to the program, an activity needs to be devised which will have more industrial relevance. Such an activity should allow the students a certain amount of freedom and still provide them with technical information and acquaint them with the properties of various plastics. …

The Case Of The Mysterious Lizard, Patrick D. Murphy
The Case Of The Mysterious Lizard, Patrick D. Murphy
Graduate Research Papers
The first step in the instructional development system is to identify the problem. The first aspect of identifying the problem is to compare the status quo and the ideal.
The status quo is that elementary students in the Council Bluffs Community Schools are not able to locate materials to write research papers. They cannot locate information in their personal interest areas. They are inattentive and lack motivation when given research assignments. They do not use the library for research.
The ideal is that they should be able to locate materials to write research papers. They should be able to locate …

Bennett Cerf And Random House, Stella M. Dillemuth
Graduate Research Papers
In a speech to the New York Society of Security Analysts in 1960, Bennett Cerf stated, "It is my opinion that the publishing business is at a sort of crossroads right now. The cards are being dealt, and amalgamations and mergers are being effected that will play a decisive factor in the entire publishing business for decades to come. It is my belief that within the next few years, some five or six great publishing companies will dominate the publishing scene, much the way that a handful of companies today dominate steel, automobiles, and other truly big industries. We intend …
