Given the continued need for a college degree, it is important for counseling psychologists to examine factors that relate to students' adjustment to college. Specifically, investigating students' retrospective reports of how they were parented, their adult attachment to their primary caregiver from childhood, and their adult romantic attachment and how these factors related to college adjustment might offer guidance for counseling psychologists who work with college students. Therefore, the current study sought to understand this area and used a sample of 191 undergraduate students from the Rocky Mountain region. Online social media has become a popular way to communicate and develop interpersonal relationships. Facebook use in particular has become an important topic for researchers and clinicians, as young adults are increasingly integrating this use into their daily lives and social behavior. Understanding The Working Alliance Between Clients Diagnosed With Anorexia Nervosa And Therapists In Individual Psychotherapy: A Phenomenological Approach, Laura M. Oyer

The therapeutic working alliance is a vital ingredient to psychotherapy, specifically with clients diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa (AN) as progress is often slow and treatment difficult. This phenomenological study investigated the experiences of eight clients with AN and seven therapists who work with this population regarding how the working alliance was formed and challenged in the process of individual psychotherapy. Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews. Findings revealed overarching themes among all the participants as well as themes unique to clients and therapists.
