The Effect Of Dietary Creatine Supplementation On Compensatory Muscle Hypertrophy And Performance Characteristics Of Specific Fiber Types, Robert Earl Young

UNLV Retrospective Theses & Dissertations

An animal model was used to determine the effect of dietary creatine supplementation on compensatory muscular hypertrophy and electrically stimulated performance of those muscles. Thirty-six rats were divided evenly into six groups. Two groups were surgical controls, two groups had the tibialis anterior ablated, to hypertrophy the extensor digitorum longus (EDL), and two groups the gastrocnemius and the plantaris ablated, to hypertrophy the soleus. Financial Characteristics Of Takeover Targets In The Gaming Industry, Seung Jai Yuh

These include size, profitability, liquidity, leverage, capital expenditure, cash reserve capacity, operational efficiency and returns on invested capital. The takeover likelihood in the gaming industry is found to be …

Halfway houses are most often used to ease the transition of offenders from the prison to the community by providing temporary housing, job placement assistance, and other services. In addition, in many jurisdictions courts are sentencing offenders directly to halfway houses as a part of the conditions of probation. …

Nationally Recognized Superintendents: Perceptions On How They Lead In Relation To The Characteristics Of Effective Schools Research, Warren Paul Mckay

UNLV Retrospective Theses & Dissertations

The purpose of this study was to increase the knowledge about the qualities, attitudes, and behaviors of public school superintendents in relation to the effective schools research. It also sought to further investigate the relationship between the role of the superintendent and the creation of effective schools and effective school districts. Finally, this research described how a recognized population of public school superintendents perceived themselves to incorporate effective school methods in their leadership strategies. This ultimately provided the opportunity to validate the findings of the effective schools research through the investigation of the superintendents office; This study employed what Creswell …
