Evidence For Serial Learning Of Multiple Cues In Concept Identification., Marc A. Clement

Masters Theses 1911 - February 2014

The fact that some subjects learn both relevant dimensions in a relevant redundant cue concept identification problem has been offered in sudport of the use of a multiple look strategy by subjects. The present study shows that subjects are «o3 i > assarily using a multiple look strategy but rather may be using a one-look strategy to solve the problem. This was shown by asking one group of subjects to stop responding and state their solution to the problem when they felt that they had solved the problem. They then continued responding until they hac completed a fairly large number of …

Learning And Transfer In Hierarchically Structured Concept Attainment Tasks., Sergio V. De Luna

Masters Theses 1911 - February 2014

The research program described in this report was conducted in conjunction with a research project directed by Dr. John A, Emrick. This project was designed to investigate the validity of a test model for individualized instruction and utilized concept learning tasks and examined acquisition trends across levels of conceptual difficulty. The rationale for this test model followed from a detailed examination of decision rule logic in single skill testing. Furthermore, this testing is considered a necessary and essential f eature of nearly all individualized instruction programs. A more detailed account of the specifics of this test model is described by …

Masters Theses 1911 - February 2014
