Specifically, numerous instances of celebrities and social media influencers altering their images to fit popular online trends and “aesthetics” contribute to increased blackfishing, Asianfishing, and Hispanicfishing. The current study focuses on the potential effects of consuming this form of media and how it affects our sexual cognitions and behaviors.
