THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND LEADERSHIP STYLES IN SCHOOL PRINCIPALS EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP ABSTRACT This quantitative research study was designed to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and leadership styles among principals and assistant principals in two districts located in central Alabama. There were 75 schools included. Seventy-two administrators participated. The surveys gauged the administrator’s emotional intelligence and leadership style. The emotional intelligence survey was designed by Daniel Goleman. The leadership style survey was designed by Peter Northouse. An Investigation Of Court Decisions Related To Educator Immorality, James Bradly Newton

This document describes a qualitative, historical, document-based exploration of state and federal case law related to adverse employment actions taken against elementary and secondary educators for the cause of immorality. Historical documents, namely court decisions, were analyzed to identify patterns in the case law. The literature revealed an ever-changing legal standard for the moral behavior of educational professionals. Therefore, this study was initiated to provide continued analysis of court cases related to teacher immorality to deliver useful information and insight to school boards, school administrators, and educators in their professional roles.

The purpose of this sequential explanatory mixed methods study was to examine the relationship between teachers’ perceptions of the effectiveness of both the Devereux Early Childhood Assessment (DECA-P) and the Conscious Discipline program and their connections with teaching practices that support children’s social and emotional development. THE ROLE OF THE PRINCIPAL IN PROMOTING TEACHER COLLECTIVE EFFICACY THROUGH ENABLING SCHOOL STRUCTURES: A MIXED METHODS STUDY CYNTHIA WILLINGHAM ABSTRACT This explanatory mixed methods research study was designed to utilize teacher perspectives to investigate methods by which principals develop and maintain teacher collective efficacy in their schools through enabling school structures. The research utilized quantitative surveys given to teachers in selected high schools followed by interviews with nine teachers in designated schools to answer three research questions.
