Access to comprehensive and equitable sexual and reproductive health care is an ever-growing subject of discussion, especially in countries such as the U.S. where this right is constantly threatened by factors including, but not limited to, social, political, and economic status. Studies show that comprehensive sex education and services, such as contraception, STD prevention and treatment, pregnancy care, including abortion, encourage healthy adolescent development and have well-documented positive effects on societies world-wide.
