The goal of this Comment is to evaluate the failures of the current system of education within the United States via policy and economic market and goods analysis lenses; in doing so, it will establish that public education in the United States is a toll good, and the only way to properly fix the inefficiencies that result is to reduce excludability and convert the education into a public good. Current Criminal Justice System Policy Reform Movements: The Problem Of Unintended Consequences, Robert D. Crutchfield
Indiana Journal of Law and Social Equality
The history of criminal justice reform in the United States has numerous examples of both good and negative consequences. Frequently the latter have been unintended and unexpected. In this article, I point to several potential unintended consequences of the current, bipartisan push for criminal justice reform and how they may be exacerbated by the failure of policy makers to heed the knowledge of both academic criminologists and criminal justice system practitioners. Criminal justice reform can minimize the possibility of unintended negative consequences by using this knowledge and by following time honored principles of justice.

The Vote Is Precious, Melissa A. Logan

This Note traces the history of the voter suppression in the United States, connecting present-day efforts to restrict access to the polls to harmful practices of the past. After demonstrating that the United States has never truly fulfilled the promise of the Fifteenth Amendment—that no citizen shall be denied the right to vote based on race, color, or previous condition of servitude—I argue that the federal government must take steps to protect voters from racial discrimination. I propose that Congress can use the power bestowed to it under the Elections Clause to regulate the time, place, and manner of elections …
