A Descriptive Study Of Public School Programs For Students With Serious Emotional Disturbances In The State Of Virginia, Meyon Puent

The purpose of this research study was two fold. First, the researcher wanted to determine from which conceptual model regarding classroom management techniques Virginia 's SED teachers predominantly function . Second, the use of physical restraint as a behavior management technique in the public schools was investigated. Both of these issues were addressed by 154 of Virginia's SED teachers in a questionnaire developed by the researcher. The questionnaire consisted of opened ended questions, likert scales and fifteen scenarios designed to determine the predominant conceptual model used by SED teachers.
