If a city has a state approved housing element as part of its general plan and has provided dollars to aid in the construction of affordable housing, will that housing be constructed? This study will demonstrate that the answer to this question is "No." It will go on to demonstrate that "political will" - or lack thereof - plays the deciding factor in whether affordable housing is constructed in a city. Requiring diversity in hiring has been a hotly contested issue amongst public and private organizations. Proponents of requiring diversity in hiring argue that it encourages equality, and increases overall productivity by minimizing group think. Proponents also argue that combining various cultural backgrounds gives minority employees a greater sense of belonging, which hypothetically, increases job satisfaction and productivity. Opponents argue that it leads to the employment of under qualified people, and contributes to work environment hostility.

Nepal's obligation of bringing its national legislation in conformity with the WTO Covered Agreements is one of the greatest challenges faced by Nepal. This article will explore the question how anti-trust law affects the performing rights societies' (PRS) practice plain the different types and forms of licensing of licensing public performance rights of musical works into audiovisual media. It will, first, set forth the historical development and necessity of PRSs; secondly, define and exublic performance rights; and, thirdly, analyze in detail the historical attempts by the government and by private parties to enforce anti-trust law against the PRSs' system of blanket licensing musical works into audiovisual media.

There are approximately 51,000 children between the ages of birth to age 18 years that reside in Yolo County. It is estimated that approximately 28,000 live in homes where the family's combined annual income is at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Line (FPL). Of that, approximately 3,605 are uninsured and may be eligible for existing public health programs. It is also estimated that 2,400 (66%) of the uninsured qualify for existing public health programs and that 1,200 (3 3 %) do not qualify due to other factors such as immigration or income that exceeds current eligibility requirements.

Over the past decades, the ROC criminal justice system has long been criticized for its insufficient human rights protection, especially for the alleged criminal offenders. From 1947 to 1987, the ROC enforced martial law and was in a state of siege. In this era of martial law rule, ordinary citizens in the ROC jurisdiction lived for four decades with little anticipation of any recognition of their inherent human rights, not to mention the rights of the accused. The California workers compensation reform bills (SB228 & SB899) passed by the legislature in 2003 and 2004 may be destructively limiting medical treatments that are critical to the health of injured law enforcement public safety employees.

As a result of increasing workers' compensation insurance premiums for businesses and workers' compensation medical costs in California, lawmakers decided to change the legal codes that regulate the systems by which injured workers receive medical treatment. Rural hospitals and clinics confront big obstacles like professional staff shortages, weak local economies, geographic isolation and loss of rural status with population increases.
