Promoting The Health Needs Of Homeless Women Residing In An Urban Community: A Participatory Action Research Study, Shirley Smith

The purpose of this study was to discover the health promoting needs of homeless women, residing in a shelter. A qualitative participatory action research (PAR) approach was used to solicit a deeper understanding of the women's health promoting needs. PAR is designed as a systematic inquiry, including collaboration with those affected by the issue being studied for purposes of taking action, empowerment, and effecting change.
