The incorporation of music in the physical education environment, during physical activity have been shown to be beneficial for participants. Lane (1999) created a conceptual framework focusing on asynchronous music, identifying four factors important to a given piece of music: 1) rhythm response, 2) musicality, 3) cultural impact, and 4) association. The study purpose was to investigate two conditions, with/without the incorporation of music, in the physical education environment on student moods in 948 junior high school students (501 males & 447 females) measured utilizing the Profile of Mood States (POMS) Short Form. “And Those That Are Fools, Let Them Use Their Talents”: Looking At The Power Of Music In The Hands Of Shakespeare’S Wise Fools, Noelle M. Conder

This paper explores Shakespeare’s fools and their use of music. Throughout Shakespeare’s plays, he developed two different styles of fools: the “natural fool” based on the acting style of Will Kemp, and the “artificial fool” based on the acting style and personality of Robert Armin. Armin also helped influence Shakespeare’s increased use of music through his career. Artificial fools use music for two main purposes; either as a shield from the negative repercussions of their words, or as a weapon to more effectively persuade their audience to something. Purpose: Decades of research have examined the impact of exposure to nonexplicit portrayals of sexual content in media. There is only one meta-analysis on this topic, which suggests that exposure to “sexy media” has little to no effect on sexual behavior. There are a number of limitations to the existing meta-analysis, and the purpose of this updated meta-analysis was to examine associations between exposure to sexual media and users' attitudes and sexual behavior.

Methods: A thorough literature search was conducted to find relevant articles. Each study was coded for associations between exposure to sexual media and one of six outcomes …
