"Fluidics, the new control technique finds its use amongst the conventional electronics and pneumatics due to some of its impressive features. Selected literature about bistable and proportional amplifiers has been presented for better understanding of the element behavior. Sensors; typical applications of fluidics have been described separately. An air flow velocity sensor has been set-up. Basically it consists of a cylinder placed across the air flow that sheds vortices in the wake due to 'Von Karman Vortex Street' phenomenon. The frequency of vortices gives a measure of velocity.
