Recent advances in mobile device sensor technology, coupled with a wealth of structured and accessible data from social networks, have together formed a data-rich ecosystem. Such an ecosystem is very wealthy in a bi-directional context that can flow between the mobile and social worlds in order to promote the creation of an elitist breed of pervasive services and applications. Al-Ghazālī's name and his book Iḥyā’ ‘Ulūm al-Dīn are attached to self-purification, which is an essential part in the religion of Islam. This study does not seek to analyze all the details of Al-Ghazālī's program to purify the self. Rather, it focuses on delineating a framework - from Iḥyā’ ‘Ulūm al-Dīn - concerning his understanding of self-purification. This framework mainly includes his method of purifying the self. In the midst of this, many of Al-Ghazālī's psychological insights are extracted, under the umbrella of the Islamic perspective of psychology. This qualitative paper explores the gendered concept of cultural identity in non-Western popular film, through a synthesized lens of visual rhetoric and cultural studies. The term non-Western is of limited presence in film scholarship, and existing literature on popular film from non-Western geographies, is primarily interested in reading a national definition of identity through the non-Western cinematic lens. The purposes of the evidence based project were to implement a best practice algorithm for treatment of hypertension (HTN) based on JNC 8 guidelines; compare nurse practitioners HTN pharmacotherapy prescribing practices before and after implementation of a HTN algorithm; and compare hypertensive adult patients’ systolic blood pressure (SBP) readings before and after the implementation of a HTN algorithm. A quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test design was used to collect and analyze data from 61 patient charts to compare nurse practitioner adherence to JNC 8 guidelines for NPs’ prescribing practices and subjects’ blood pressure (BP) outcome before and after the implementation of …
