The purpose of this paper is to present with briefness, and yet I hope clarity, a history of the economic development of Great Britain, from its early beginnings through the medeival era and both World Wars. I have attempted to take each period in British economic history, present the economic phenomenon that occurred during the period, and show the causes and results of such phenomenon. An Inter-American Study Of William Sydney Porter's Latin American Stories, Anthony Joseph Gutierrez

Statement of the problem. This paper is an examination of William Sydney Porter's Latin American stories in light of their inter-American significance. The basic point of view from which the study is made is that Porter is a North American writing about Latin American at the beginning of the twentieth century. The paper examines the Latin American and North American characters which appear in the stories and catalogs them into groups of stereotypes.

To write a descriptive, chronological history of Manti journalists and their newspapers was the purpose of this study. A century of journalism was traced, during which twenty-six editors and publishers printed six country newspapers. The study covered the years from 1867 to 1967.
