The thesis was carried out to investigate Sobrino’s liberation Christology and its implication for the “crucified people” of Niger Delta region in Nigeria. The thesis became very crucial because God’s gift of oil to the Niger Delta region has become a source of sorrow and death as a result of unjust structures by the Nigerian government and the multinational oil companies.
