The purpose of this paper is to highlight some or the problems involved in the process of communication, in the process or transferring one's own thought into the mind of another. These problems will concern particu1arly some of the distractions and hindrances which deflect the pastor's sermon and even prevent it from entering into the mind of his hearer. This paper does not deal with the remedy or solution to these problems, except by way of illustration.
