In their most recent work on marriage, Alice Mathews and Gay Hubbard—professor and guest lecturer at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary respectively—explore Godʼs design and purpose for marriage. Having received positive reviews from several leading evangelical scholars, such as Stanley Grenz, Gordon Fee, and Vernon Grounds, Marriage Made in Eden warrants considerable attention. Because Mathews and Hubbardʼs book represents a significant argument supporting egalitarianism, it also deserves a serious response. Modeling Holistic Behavior Of Biological Systems For Analysis By Systems Theory, Steven M. Gollmer

Due to the complexity of biological systems it is not possible to capture the richness of their interactions by purely studying the individual parts. Only a subset of all possible interactions between individual parts results in functional behavior. This restriction of functional possibilities is sometimes described as an emergent property of the system and emphasizes a holistic approach to the study of biological systems.
By using concepts from systems theory a systemic approach to modeling biological systems is possible. This approach is currently used successfully in such areas as niche theory and organism biology. This presentation looks at a framework …

A Study Of Scottish Hermeneutical Method From John Knox To The Early Twentieth Century: From Christian To Secular, Marc A. Clauson

This work examines the evolution of Scottish hermeneutical method from John Knox to the early 20th century, showing how the method was transformed from a Primitivism (a term borrowed from the history of ideas) to "historical consciousness" as represented by the higher critical method. This work examines the whole "big picture" of transformation based on the "paradigm shift" or presuppositions from the primitivism of John Knox and others to the Enlightenment-based historical-critical method.
