Healthcare Provider Engagement And Its Effects On Patient Rereferral: Insights From Indonesia, Felicia Setiawan

Background: In the highly competitive landscape of healthcare, nurturing strong relationships between referring healthcare providers and healthcare facilities is essential for maintaining patient loyalty. This study explores the factors influencing referring health care provider engagement and its subsequent impact on the willingness to rerefer to healthcare facilities.

Methods: A cross-sectional quantitative survey was conducted with 181 healthcare providers who regularly refer patients to a private hospital in Jakarta. Data were collected through an online structured questionnaire consisting of 29 questions. Studies have shown that video podcasts, which incorporate education and entertainment aspects, are effective as a medium to study language and medical subjects among students and clinicians. Background: Perceived needs and utilization of oral health services are important to ensure improvements in oral health outcomes and to allocate resources for the continuous provision of the services. This study aimed to determine the factors influencing the perceived needs and utilization of oral health services in Indonesia.

Methods: Secondary data from the 2013 Indonesian National Socioeconomic Survey (n = 260,925) was used. Descriptive analysis and logistic regression were employed to describe the relationship between perceived needs and utilization of oral health services.
