Workplace Mentoring And Career Resilience: An Empirical Test, Ridhi Arora Research Scholar, Santosh Rangnekar Associate Professor

The present study sought to investigate the role of mentoring relationships in predicting career resilience. The study adopted a cross-sectional survey based research design using a sample of 205 managers from public and private sector organizations in North India. Mentoring relationships were measured under the 2 broad categories of career mentoring and psychosocial mentoring in alignment with previous studies. The findings showed that psychosocial mentoring acts as a significant predictor of career resilience;however, career mentoring was not found to have any significant influence on career resilience. Abstract

Faith-based school-family-community partnerships have been a federal mandate over the past decade, yet little has been written about the outcomes of these faith-based partnerships. A need exists to understand if the potential in these faith-based partnerships is indeed realized in positive outcomes for students and schools. As professionals in the disability field, we are in a unique position to support the career goals of individuals with IDD who want to work as researchers. While the literature contains rich knowledge of how employment service providers can support individuals with IDD and employers, there is limited literature directed towards employers themselves.This poster highlights our experiences supervising individuals with IDD who are employed in the field of research and who receive both individualized supported integrated employment services and natural supports at the workplace.

Current advancements in information technology are increasingly impacting work relationships. Rapid technological changes have significant implications specifically for workplace mentoring because they may offer faster and more economical ways of building relationships. However, the e-mentoring literature is still evolving, and the extent to which e-mentoring parallels face-to-face mentoring is unknown. The purpose of this study was to investigate the development of mentoring functions over time and how the development varies depending on the amount and type of computer mediated communication.
