The Relationships Between Parenting Factors And Parental Sensitivity To The Child's Depression, Sara Thompson

Parenting, and its effects on a child, has been an area of interest in psychology for many years. By studying parental attachment, parenting confidence, and other parenting aspects, we get a better understanding of how the parent-child relationship functions. This study will utilize children's self reports of their depression and the parents' reports of their child's depression, to examine parental attachment and parenting confidence and how those two factors relate to the parent's sensitivity to their child's depression. The results from this study have possible implications for how to better structure the child's home environment, how to help the child …
