This study examined relationships among self-esteem, media internalization, sexual orientation, and ethnicity in predicting drive for muscularity in a diverse group of men (N = 217) who work out in gyms. Investigations examined media internalization and sexual orientation as moderators of the relationship between self-esteem and drive for muscularity. Additional analyses examined media internalization as a moderator of the relationships between a) sexual orientation and drive for muscularity and b) ethnicity and drive for muscularity. Standardized questionnaires were utilized to assess drive for muscularity, media internalization, self-esteem, sexual orientation, and ethnicity. Jealousy is a reaction to a perceived threat in a relationship. It can lead to relationship dissatisfaction and even violence. By better understanding which personality traits are linked with jealousy we can better understand this emotion and its expression. The present study investigates the relationship between jealousy, self-esteem, and locus of control. The total number of participants was 180 (95 male, 78 female, 7 missing data) which were recruited from introductory psychology classes. Participants completed a 79-item survey, which contained the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, the Interpersonal Jealousy Scale, and the Multidimensional Locus of Control Scales: God Control Revision. Models Of Forgiveness And Adult Romantic Attachment In Ended Relationships: Forgiveness Over Time, Kathryn Louise Cooke

This study examined models of self and other as they relate to attachment, forgiveness, emotional and cognitive reactions to a breakup, relationship variables, and positive and negative feelings toward the self and former partner after a romantic relationship is ended. This study also tested how these variables change over time. Data were collected over a period of five weeks from 130 undergraduates who had experienced a breakup within the two weeks prior to beginning the study.
