The Relationship Of Month Of Birth To Intelligence, Joseph George Bosco

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of month of birth to intelligence through scores made on C. L. Thurstoneis American Council on Education Psychological Examination by the entering freshmen of Kansas State Teachers College, Pittsburg, Kansas. Through statistical analysis, the observed differences in means for months were found to be statistically significant, and the differences present probably due to factors other than chance. In the sample used, June was the most favorable month of birth and the seasons of moderate temperature seemed more favorable for birth than seasons of extreme temperature.
