The main objective of the present study was to examine the relationship between the influential effects of participating in habitual exercise regimens and stress perceptions. Previous literature has provided a substantial amount of evidence supporting the physiological underpinnings relative to stress perceptions and the release of stress hormones such as cortisol. It was within this study’s interest to investigate both the physiological and cognitive components that contribute to the overall perceptions of stressors throughout an individual’s daily functioning.
