Burnout is a prevalent and expensive problem in the US, and the National Plan For Health Workforce Well-Being included a goal to institutionalize well-being as a long-term value. Lifestyle Medicine (LM), an evidence-based practice using behavioral interventions to treat, prevent, and reverse certain chronic conditions, can achieve this goal. Implementing small changes in the workplace that support lifestyle medicine has a butterfly effect on both workplace and community well-being. Anaphylaxis is a rare but serious adverse reaction that can occur following mRNA-based vaccination against coronavirus (COVID-19). This is a case of a geriatric patient presenting with hypotension and an urticarial rash with bullous lesions following a syncopal episode with incontinence. She received the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech (BNT162b2) COVID-19 vaccine three days prior, and first developed the skin abnormalities the morning after receiving the vaccine. She had no past history of anaphylaxis or allergies to vaccinations.

Physical inactivity (PI), defined as not meeting guidelines for physical activity beyond baseline daily living activities, is common among older adults (age 65 and older) and contributes to increased morbidity, increased mortality and increased health care spending. Understanding the clinical impact of PI on common medical conditions among older adults will help primary care physicians (PCPs) to educate these patients successfully.
