Dickey-Lincoln School Lakes Project Power Alternatives Study : Task 2 Report, Acres American Incorporated Jan 1977

Dickey-Lincoln School Lakes Project Power Alternatives Study : Task 2 Report, Acres American Incorporated

Dickey-Lincoln School Lakes Project

This report presents the results of Task 2 of this study, the overall purpose of which is the evaluation of alternative methods of providing electrical energy in New England in lieu of the Dickey-Lincoln hydroelectric project. The final Task 1 report was presented in July 1976 and will, in conjunction with this Task 2 and subsequent Tasks 3 and 4 reports, ultimately become part of the "Environmental Impact Statement" for the Dickey-Lincoln Project.

Dickey-Lincoln School Lakes Project Power Alternatives Study Draft Report : Task 1 Through 4, Acres American Incorporated Jan 1977

Dickey-Lincoln School Lakes Project Power Alternatives Study Draft Report : Task 1 Through 4, Acres American Incorporated

Dickey-Lincoln School Lakes Project

This report presents the detailed findings of Tasks 1 through 4 of the Dickey-Lincoln School Lakes Project Power Alternatives Study undertaken for the New England Division of the Corps of Engineers, by Acres American Incorporated, Consulting Engineers of Buffalo, New York under the terms of Contract Number DACW33-76-C-0047. Earlier reports on Task 1 dated July 1976, on Task 2 dated January 1977 and on Task 3 dated March 1977 have been incorporated virtually unchanged into this Task 4 report.

Dickey-Lincoln School Lakes Project Power Alternatives Study : Task 1 Report, Acres American Incorporated

Dickey-Lincoln School Lakes Project

This report presents the results of Task 1 of a study undertaken by Acres American Incorporated to evaluate alternative methods of providing electrical energy in lieu of the Dickey-Lincoln School Lakes Project. It is understood that this report will ultimately become part of the "Environmental Impact Statement" for the project.

An Energy Strategy For New England : Objectives And Implementation, Development Sciences, Inc., New England Regional Commission Jan 1976

An Energy Strategy For New England : Objectives And Implementation, Development Sciences, Inc., New England Regional Commission

Dickey-Lincoln School Lakes Project

This report is a product of the New England Regional Commission's Energy Research and Policy Formulation Program. The goal of the Energy Program is to supply the members of the New England Regional Commission, which is comprised of the six New England Governors and a Federal Co-chairman appointed by the President, with reliable baseline information on New England's energy requirements and vulnerability, and to provide the Governors and the region with viable energy policy options and recommendations to guide New England's energy future.

Maine Comprehensive Energy Plan, Maine. Office Of Energy Resources

Dickey-Lincoln School Lakes Project

Prepare a comprehensive energy resources plan to be revised and updated at least annually and more often as the Director of the Office of Energy Resources or the State Legislature deem necessary.

Energy Resource Allocation Optimization: A Mixed Integer Programming Fixed Charge Model, Mashaallah Khorsandi Jan 1976

Energy Resource Allocation Optimization: A Mixed Integer Programming Fixed Charge Model, Mashaallah Khorsandi

Retrospective Theses and Dissertations

A fixed charge model has been developed for a case study of a total energy power plant involving energy demands for chilled water, high temperature hot water, and electrical power. Using a FORTRAN computer program, which employs the Land and Doig branch and bound algorithm, the system model is solved for different sets of system demands for multiple energy users, and the following set of information is obtained to guide the decisions of operations personnel: 1. Recommend on/off status for each piece of equipment in the system. 2. Recommended rate of operation for each piece of machinery. 3. Required amounts …

Energy Resource Allocation Optimization--A Linear Programming Model, Paul F. Hutchins Jan 1976

Energy Resource Allocation Optimization--A Linear Programming Model, Paul F. Hutchins

Retrospective Theses and Dissertations

A linear programming model has been developed for a Central Energy Plant which minimizes operational costs for a system involving the generation of chilled water and high temperature hot water plus the generation and/or purchase of electric power with equipment using natural gas or fuel oil energy. The fundamental concepts developed herein are sufficient for the analysis of any combination of energy supplies, demands, and energy conversion equipment. Utilization of this model is demonstrated with a case study and computer program results for high and low temperature environments. The linear programming model approach establishes a well-defined framework for the analysis …
