Objective This study was designed to determine the role of diabetes mellitus (DM) in the pathogenesis of hepatic encephalopathy (HE) in patients with liver cirrhosis. Objective To study the risk factors for diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) in Menoufia University Hospitals. Background Problems associated with the diabetic foot are prevalent worldwide. Objectives This study was conducted to evaluate the clinical usefulness of cystatin C levels in the serum in predicting renal impairment in patients with type 2 diabetes. Background In clinical practice, the glomerular filtration rate is often estimated from plasma creatinine levels. Several studies have shown cystatin C to be a better marker for the diagnosis of impaired renal function.
