An innovative model to facilitate predoctoral dental student learning was designed and implemented during the academic year 2016/2017. This model was envisioned as a forum to improve the gaps in the current educational method of the dental education large classroom lecture format. This new method involved multimodal learning tools in accommodating the various learner styles among dental students. The new format consisted of an on-line pre-recorded audiovisual power point presentation, followed by a corresponding graded quiz, culminating a week later into an interactive case discussion in the classroom.
