Meyer’s proposed chew-in technique also called functionally generated path (FGP) technique, is indicated for the restoration of an edentulous arch that is opposed by natural teeth as it does seem to provide the most accurate method of recording occlusal patterns, also help to minimize the effects of negative factors, and to overcome the deficiencies of articulators [1]. As stated by Rudd and Morrow, this technique is especially suitable for tooth-supported complete dentures, due to inherent stability of tooth-supported record bases helps in recording jaw relationships accurately.

Purpose: To compare different retentive cap material used in LOCATOR attachments, namely the nylon retentive cap versus PEEK retentive caps, and measure the loss of retention over a period of two years, through 2880 cycles of insertion and removal. Materials and methods: Two implants 3.8mm x 10.5mm were inserted into a clear epoxy resin cast, through a surgical guide, with the implants being 23mm apart. Two LOCATOR attachments with 5 mm gingival height were screwed to the implants, custom made nylon caps were fabricated as an exact replica of the PEEK retentive caps, then two dentures were constructed …

Introduction: Finding a suitable material that could be used to restore relatively small inter-arch spaces in which reasonable aesthetics as well as good functional strength could be achieved is a difficult process that requires good understanding of the clinical situation and precise management. Historically Metal used to offer the smallest possible thickness with excellent strength but lacks resiliency with poor aesthetics.

Aim of the study: This In-vitro study was conducted to compare two different aesthetic materials PEEK and ACETAL regarding their mechanical strength when used as Overdenture framework in a relatively small thickness.

Material and Methods: 120 specimens were …

Statement of problem: Teeth retained overdenture therapy is an alternative treatment rarely used in cases with few remaining teeth. Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the patient satisfaction associated with teeth retained maxillary and mandibular overdentures utilizing ready made ball attachment. Materials and methods: Thirty patients treated with teeth retained overdenture utilizing ready made ball attachment. Participants completed a series of questionnaires (OHIP-14 questionnaire) after tooth supported overdenture wearing by one month (base line), then after one month and 12 months of wearing the attachment retained overdenture. Results: Statistically insignificant difference between gender, and for upper and …
