Background: Disrupted sleep patterns are a common occurrence in those with a diagnosis of a mental health disorder. Unfortunately, many people are often treated for their mental health disorders solely, or prescribed additional medications to manage sleep, leaving sleep management poorly addressed in the clinical setting. There is a growing body of evidence supporting the benefits of integrating mobile applications into psychiatric clinical practice.

International Journal of Aquatic Research and Education

This paper documents a demonstration project conducted by the authors under the auspices of the Irish Naval service. It explores and describes in detail the consequences that cold water immersion can have on the human body. Further, this study investigates post immersion treatment and survival challenges and proposes appropriate casualty care regimes with specific focus on ‘post rescue collapse’ and ‘afterdrop.’ Observations of individual differences in response are reported.

This study is a program evaluation with a mixed methods design that evaluated the effectiveness of Peer Engagement and Knowledge (PEAK), a six-week community-based group intervention that incorporates mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) to address multiple health behaviors for multiracial youth in Hilo, Hawai‘i. A total of 51 youth, ages 12-23 years old, participated in this study which included pre-/posttest analyses of health risk factors such as substance use and depression and health promoting factors such as resilience, self-esteem, and mindfulness. The recent introduction of medical assistance in dying (MAiD) has significant implications for healthcare workers, nurse educators, and society at large. Nursing students are being asked to participate directly or indirectly with a medically assisted death. Little is known about nursing students’ experiences with or attitudes toward MAiD in Canada.The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of fourth-year nursing students in caring for patients who choose MAiD. Sleep hygiene is a list of habits and recommendation that enhance sleep quality. Sleep hygiene education has been used in some research to fill the need of the athletes.
