Cervical cancer survivorship is increasing as a result of improved biomedical science and health care. Due to the nature of cervical cancer treatments most cures are not without consequences. Despite the progress in cancer treatments, associated side-effects persist and it is well established that sexual problems result from most of the available treatment options. Subsequently, cervical cancer treatment alters how women cope and experience their sexual self-concept after treatment.
