An Analysis Of Pressure Gasoline And Pressure Kerosene Stoves, Arnold E. Baragar Mar 1942

An Analysis Of Pressure Gasoline And Pressure Kerosene Stoves, Arnold E. Baragar

Historical Research Bulletins of the Nebraska Agricultural Experiment Station

During the past few years inquiries have been received regarding the cost of operation, efficiency, and performance of pressure gasoline and pressure kerosene stoves. Because of the method of operation and the use of gasoline as fuel, safety from fire and carbon monoxide has been frequently questioned. Not only is it necessary to have technical information about this type of appliance in order to compare it with other types but it is further important to know whether one type of burner is superior to another; whether one type of oven construction will give better results than another and in general …

Subsurface Pressure Regulation Of High Pressure Condensate Wells, John Oscar Farmer Jan 1942

Subsurface Pressure Regulation Of High Pressure Condensate Wells, John Oscar Farmer

Professional Degree Theses

"The discovery of deeper production and higher pressures has resulted in the need for control equipment for preserving and protecting these great reservoirs of energy; and, in the case of high pressure condensate wells, has resulted in the need for means for preventing freezing or hydrate solidification caused by throttling the production. Development of a successful removable subsurface regulator has enabled operators to reduce dangerously high surface flowing pressures to safe workable limits; and, by moving the point of principal pressure reduction from the surface to warmer subsurface levels, has resulted in complete elimination of freezing conditions in flow lines. …

Applicability Of Hydraulic Drives To Oil-Well Pumping, James Francis Mcdonald Jan 1942

Applicability Of Hydraulic Drives To Oil-Well Pumping, James Francis Mcdonald

Professional Degree Theses

"To date, to the author's knowledge, there has been no successful application of the hydraulic drive to oil-well pumping. It is understood, however, that there is, at the present time, an installation in the Oklahoma City oil field, near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, wherein a manufacturer of hydraulic couplings and an oil-producing company have cooperated in experimental work with the fluid drive applied to a pumping well. No technical data or information regarding the success of the application have, as yet, been released and, consequently, this work is presented primarily for the purpose of creating interest in the application of "Fluid …
