In this study, the morphological characteristics, measurements, habitats and distribution of Torrenticola nana Di Sabatino & Gerecke, 2003 and Torrenticola jasminae Bader, 1988, which are new records for the Turkish fauna, are presented.

New Records Of Water Mites Of The Genus Monatractides K.Viets (Acari: Hydrachnidia: Torrenticolidae) From Turkey, Vladimir Pesic, Orhan Erman, Yunus Esen

Turkish Journal of Zoology

New records of water mites of the genus Monatractides K.Viets (Acari: Hydrachnidia, Torrenticolidae) for the fauna of Turkey are presented in this study. Three species, Monatractides lusitanicus (Lundblad, 1941), M. aberratus (Lundblad, 1941), and M. vafaei Pesic, 2004, are reported for the first time from Turkey.

Records Of Two Species Of Terellia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 (Diptera: Tephritidae) New To The Turkish Fauna, Murat Kütük, Muhammed İsmai̇l Varol

Turkish Journal of Zoology

Samples collected from Turkey belonging to the genus Terellia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 were examined during 2000-2002. Terellia gynaecochroma (Hering, 1937) and T. luteola (Wiedemann, 1830) are new records for the fauna of Turkey.

Distributional Notes On Northeastern Algerian Hydrophilidae (Coleoptera), With Three New Records, Slimane Bouzid, Ümi̇t İncekara

Turkish Journal of Zoology

Distributional notes on some Northeastern Algerian Hydrophilidae species are given. Three newly recorded species (Anacaena limbata (Fabricius, 1792), Hydrobius fuscipes (Linnaeus, 1758), and Hydrophilus piceus (Linnaeus, 1758)) are described, and their distributions in Algeria and worldwide are presented.

New Records And Description Of A New Subspecies For The Water Mite Fauna (Acari, Hydrachnidia) Of Turkey From The Eastern Black Sea Coast, Vladimir Pesic, Davut Turan

A new subspecies, Mixobates brachypalpis ozkani subsp. nov., is described from a stream in the Rize region (Eastern Black Sea coast, Turkey). The new subspecies can be easily distinguished from the type material of M. brachypalpis, a species reported only from the locus typicus in Russia, by the more elongated and slender I-L-5/6. In addition, 3 water mite species (Torrenticola oraviensis (Láska, 1953), Torrenticola thori (Halbert, 1944) and Mideopsis roztoczensis Biesiadka and Kovalik, 1979) are reported for the first time from Turkey.

Microfungi Identified From The Flora Of Ordu Province In Turkey, Şanli Kabaktepe, Zeli̇ha Bahçeci̇oğlu

In this study, 101 species of microfungi and their hosts, which were found in Ordu Province are described. The research was carried out between 2002 and 2004. Approximately 1465 vascular plant specimens, plants infected with microfungi or not, were collected from the area. At the end of the study of the host plants, 35 families, 114 genera, and 138 host plant species (151 taxa) were established. The 101 species of microfungi were observed on the collected host specimens. Microfungi Isolated From Plants In Kahramanmaraş Province, Turkey, Zeli̇ha Bahçeci̇oğlu, Şanli Kabaktepe, Bayram Yildiz

Herein, 146 microfungi species and their hosts recorded in Kahramanmaraş province are given with their localities. The research was carried out between 2000 and 2004. Approximately 1821 vascular plant specimens infected and uninfected with microfungi were collected from the area. In total, 146 microfungi species were identified on the collected host specimens. These species belong to 36 genera and 17 families; 43 species belong to Ascomycota, 94 to Basidiomycota, 1 to Oomycota, and 8 to Mitosporic Fungi (Deuteromycota).
