If there’s one thing we’re missing in Idaho higher education, it’s a Master’s-level program in library and information science. Going to graduate school is challenging enough when you live in the same town as your school. Having to virtually commute and fit online courses into an already busy schedule adds a whole new layer of challenge. Not to mention that online education, despite the benefits of convenience, can be more challenging as online students require more self-motivation and independence than students in the classroom.
