A study was undertaken to examine undergraduate students’ skills in Information literacy among undergraduate students at Mzumbe University. The objective of this study was to investigate the information literacy levels among undergraduate students. The study used a mixed method approach design using cross-sectional and case study. The study distributed 210 questionnaires to undergraduate students using stratified sampling followed by systematic random sampling to select individual students in year 1, 2 and 3 from faculty of law, faculty of social sciences and faculty of science and technology.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the extent of LIS (Library and Information Science) literature referring to and being referred by patents in the form of scholarly citations they attribute and/or receive. The analysis of the present study was done based on a total data-set of 237820 research publications of the LIS discipline ranging from April 1920 to April 2020 (100 years) as mined from the LENS database. The main aim of this paper is to analyze the global Covid-19 and Nursing literature to discover underlying trends and developments at the global, national, institutional, and individual level using Scientometric indicators. The publications and citations data for the study were sourced from the Web of Science database published during 2020–2021. This study was carried out to develop core information sources in chemistry using citation analysis. A total of 85 theses submitted to the Department of Chemistry from 2010 to 2019 constituted the population. A bibliometric study was conducted using indicators such as types of cited sources, most cited journals, most cited books, age of cited journal and books and availability of cited journals and books in the university library. The study is conducted on plagiarism awareness, perception, and attitude of research scholars in Farook College. There are 101 research scholars and the whole population is selected for the study. A questionnaire tool was used for data collection. The present study describes various aspects of plagiarism such as awareness of plagiarism, perception of plagiarism, use of plagiarism detection software, satisfaction with plagiarism detection software, use of citation styles, and awareness of punishments for plagiarism. The findings reveal that most of the research scholars are much aware of plagiarism and its consequences.

This study is conducted to analyse the citations of the top 100 most-cited papers of the journal Scientometrics in Web of Science (WoS) and its association and correlation with corresponding citations in Scopus and Google Scholar (GS). Chi-square and Spearman’s rank rho are used to ascertain the association and correlation among these citations in different platforms. GS citations for the papers are comparatively higher than the citations in the other two databases. Scopus citations are slightly higher than WoS citations. This paper carried out the bibliometric analysis of research publications published by the BLDEA’s V P Dr.P.G.Halakatti College of Engineering and Technology, Vijayapur for the period from 2001 to 2019. In this period, 156 research articles were published and indexed in Scopus bibliographical citation databases. It examines the year wise publications, the annual distribution of publications, author productivity, etc. Analysis found that, the publications raised from 0.64%to 18.59% publications from the year 2001 to 2019 and observed good progress in scholarly publications. The study investigated the use of URLs as citations and their longevity, based on 966 articles published in selected LIS journals published during 2011-2015. It is found that there are 36,968 references in 966 articles with an average of 38.26 per article. Of the 36,968 references, there are 5,867 URL references. Each of the 5,867 URL citations were checked using W3C link checker to verify their accessibility. The study also found that 46.53% URLs (2,730 out of 5,867) remained active while the remaining 3,137 (53.46%) were found to be missing. The largest number of missing URLs (83.22%) cited in LIS …
