The study investigated the role of library instruction in curbing plagiarism among undergraduates in University of Ilorin. The research design was descriptive survey .The research was guided by two questions and a hypothesis. It was a questionnaire based study. Purposive sampling technique and total enumeration were used to sample the respondents. The target population constituted 382 undergraduates but 235 copies of the questionnaire were found usable which represented 61.1% of the response rate. The findings from the study showed that there was no significant relationship between the attendance of library instruction and the knowledge of plagiarism among undergraduates. This was …

Instructing students on how to use the library and the databases in one setting, especially when there is only 50 minutes, can be extremely overwhelming for the students and instructor. This session covered tips that can be used in the interview process with the professor, creating a flipped classroom or blended instruction opportunities to enhance the learning process ( including pre or post-session), as well as demonstrating guides for assisting students in database searching techniques. Finally, the session ended with ways to get buy-in from professors about tutorials and guides used outside the lessons.

Connectivism provides a promising theoretical understanding of how libraries can use social media to engage in intentional information literacy education. The purpose of this paper is to review research in support of this claim and situate information literacy instruction through social media in connectivism’s theoretical framework. Using this model, those intending to use social media to teach information literacy must model good behavior, facilitate network growth, and help students build the capacity to consider a source's context and evaluate information critically in order to be successful.
