Since the January 2011 revolution, Egyptian-American relations have experienced new tensions and confrontations, which have led to a re-examination of the relationship as well as the desire on the part of the Egyptians for a more equal partnership. The monograph is based upon my MA thesis, which was submitted to the Department of Sociology-Anthropology-Psychology at the American University in Cairo.
