Preserving Artifacts: A Survey And Research Into The Struggle Of Smaller Institutions' Need For Budgeting, Emily Busch
Museum Studies Theses
This paper will discuss the budgeting and preservation problems that are prevalent in institutions specializing in historical collections. The sizes of the institutions that will be reviewed include small and medium-sized specialized museums along with local and regional historical societies, based on research and a survey sent to these kinds of institutions. Three types of artifacts that are commonly found in these institutions – paper, photographs, and textiles- will be examined to get a clear understanding of their preservation problems and needs. Welcome to our spring season concert "We've Got Rythm", as we celebrate some of the most influential music written in the 20th century by American composers. What a pleasure it is for the BGMC to bring music from the American Songbook alive for you this evening; music that many of you have asked us to perform for years. I believe it is also a very poignant time for LGBT Americans as we celebrate composers who brought us iconic music, some of which has been embraced for decades by our community but also some who were gay themselves.

The atomic bomb is one of the most destructive devices man has created for warfare. Able to wipe out entire city blocks and dissolve a person’s body leaving only a shadow behind. How can any good be found in such a weapon? The paper will evaluate the process Americans went through to create this weapon and then use it. It will convey how different key players felt about the Bomb, such as politicians, scientists, and military figures. Baptism By Fire: Ireland, The Easter Rising Of 1916 And Its Experiment With Radical Republicanism, Travis K. Becker
The Exposition
The Easter Uprising of 1916 represents one of the most tumultuous moments in modern Irish history. A relatively small group of revolutionaries sought to throw off the shackles of British rule in favor of Irish independence and self-determination. The uprising, lasting a mere six days, transformed the very nature of relations between Great Britain and the Irish populace. The Rising resulted in wholesale changes in legislation including women gaining the right to vote and run for office. Ireland following the uprising was completely transformed as its populace reeled with its effects.
