Proceedings of the New York State Communication Association
This paper reflects on the ways that media technology infiltrate, push, and pull educators in the 21st century. The authors write about the importance of including new technology in our courses to better prepare students for their future careers and lives while also acknowledging the challenges that inclusion can present. By highlighting how technology serves as a facilitator for classroom participation and the ways the emergent technology can enhance a journalism curriculum, the paper points to some of the ways that emergent technology in our classes can have an enduring positive effect on our students in the future. Miller, a cognitive psychologist and professor at UCLA, provides a balance of theory and application to instructors wishing to better understand the role of memory in their classrooms. She provides strategies and examples of implementation in the classroom as well as a strong justification for why instructors should be aware of how memory impacts learning and incorporate instruction that promotes improved learning.
Experiential Learning Enhanced In Agricultural Classrooms Using 360-Degree Video Technology, Morgan L. Barba
Experiential Learning Enhanced In Agricultural Classrooms Using 360-Degree Video Technology, Morgan L. Barba
SACAD: John Heinrichs Scholarly and Creative Activity Days
Experiential or “hands-on” learning allows students to self-correct educational missteps and have live examples of core concepts registered in the brain as holistic experiences, which enhances their educational experience overall (Roland, M.A 2017). However, due to financial constraints and logistical barriers, it becomes more difficult for educators to give their students these field-based experiences. Using 360 video technology, educators have the opportunity to address these limitations and provide students with field experience anywhere (Clay, M. A. 2022). This presentation will highlight the opportunities 360 video technology can offer to animal and plant science education and the opportunities it can offer …

Journal of Aviation/Aerospace Education & Research
Higher education institutions continuously seek ways to improve teaching methods and enhance student learning experiences by leveraging emerging technologies in the classroom. One such technology is ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence (AI) application. The integration of this AI technology in aviation education has the potential to transform teaching and learning experiences. This study aims to investigate the acceptance and integration of ChatGPT in aviation education and understand the benefits and challenges associated with integrating such technology. The study employs a mixed methods approach, combining qualitative focus group discussions with aviation professors and a quantitative survey administered to students. The study included …
