IMPORTANCE The role of antiretroviral therapy (ART) type in people living with HIV (PLWDH) co-infected with acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-Cov-2) remains unclear. There is evidence that certain classes of ART may mute the risk of severe COVID-19 outcomes.

Background. Hepatitis C virus (HCV) positivity is frequently found in people who inject drugs (PWID). The prevalence of HCV in this population in Ukraine is estimated at 71%. As treatment for HCV infection becomes more available, it is important to know what modifiable factors are related to testing, linkage to care and treatment.

Introduction: Health-related Quality of life (HRQoL) is recognized as a significant medical outcome measure for persons living with HIV (PLWH). Identification of potentially modifiable determinants of HRQoL could help target people in need of additional health care and social services in order to improve their HRQoL. The main objective of this study was to determine the factors with the strongest impact on HRQoL in PLWH.

Background: Identification of factors that influence quality of life (QoL) is important in order to improve health and social care services. No prior research is available on QoL in people living with HIV in the country of Georgia. The purpose of our study was to assess QoL among Georgian HIV-infected individuals and to examine associations of socio-demographic and disease-related factors with general and domain-specific QoL.

Dose-limiting adverse events associated with anti-retroviral therapy (ART) generally include gastro-intestinal (GI) issues such as vomiting and nausea. However, serious adverse events (SAEs) do occur, the most frequent of which include liver toxicities and renal impairment as well as recent evidence of cardio-vascular disease (CVD) risk.
