Simulation Of Influence Of Lightning On Internal Electromagnetic Environment Of Computer, Gaihong Du, Yangmeng Tian, Caixia Wang, Hongwei Wang

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: Through XFDTD software simulating strong lightning electromagnetic pulse of 50KV lightning electric field strength, rising edge about 50ns, and pulse width about 2000ns coupled with a desktop computer, the curves of the coupled electric field with time and the curves of the energy density with time at several typical locations in the chassis are obtained; the shielding effectiveness of different locations inside the computer is analyzed. Simulation results suggest that the electromagnetic field strength produced in the chassis has no damage to the computer node while coupling energy generated in the hole is large in comparison with the threshold …

Simulation On Switch Reluctance Motor Vibration Under Load Condition Based On Ansys, Luan Ru, Jinru Guo Jun 2020

Simulation On Switch Reluctance Motor Vibration Under Load Condition Based On Ansys, Luan Ru, Jinru Guo

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: At present, the research on the vibration problem of switched reluctance motor is limited to the natural mode analysis under no-load condition. The coupling calculation of transient electromagnetic field and structure dynamic field in SRM is deduced. It is proved that the vibration results of SRM can be obtained under the load. An improved simulation method is proposed to improve the data link of Workbench ANSYS, and to realize the direct coupling of the whole data link between the transient electromagnetic field and the transient structural dynamic field. The simulation method is described in detail for a specific SRM …

Research For Co-Simulation Of 7dof Manipulator Based On Adams And Matlab, Chen Gang, Qicai Zhou, Wu Jing, Yan Nan

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: In order to study the redundant robot joint coupling effect on the control of the robot, the model of 7DOF manipulator was built based on SolidWorks, then co-simulation of ADAMS and MATLAB was researched; PD servo control scheme of single joint was designed based on the distributed control, the dynamic response curve of each joint of the manipulator was obtained in the process of synchronous movement, and the simulation of the end actual actuator was researched with the interference of the external environment. The results show that each joint and end effector response is well, the rationality of the …

A General And Systematic Method To Design Neutralization Lines For Isolation Enhancement In Mimo Antenna Arrays, Min Li, Lijun Jiang, Kwan Lawrence Yeung Jun 2020

A General And Systematic Method To Design Neutralization Lines For Isolation Enhancement In Mimo Antenna Arrays, Min Li, Lijun Jiang, Kwan Lawrence Yeung

Electrical and Computer Engineering Faculty Research & Creative Works

A general and systematic approach is the first time proposed in this paper to design the neutralization line (NL) for isolation enhancement in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna arrays. Each NL consists of a metal strip and a reactive component attached at its middle position. It is connected with every two antenna radiators to generate an additional coupling path against the original antenna coupling for isolation enhancement. A general network model that leads to a systematic design procedure is developed to meet the required isolation criteria. Three practical examples are presented and used to verify the proposed NL-based decoupling technique (DT). …

Increasing Isolation Between Closely Spaced X-Band Planar Transmit/Receive Antennas, Jacob Bartschi Mar 2020

Increasing Isolation Between Closely Spaced X-Band Planar Transmit/Receive Antennas, Jacob Bartschi

Undergraduate Honors Theses

Coupling between Tx/Rx antennas is a common and much-researched problem that is especially difficult when the antennas both placed close together and on the same plane. New systems with smaller footprints require this kind of placement while still maintaining the same levels of isolation as before. Traditional solutions for coupling involve large and heavy machined parts that are unsuited to compact systems. Many techniques have been proposed over the decades, but few have been applied to X-band antennas in closely spaced configurations. This thesis investigates those techniques, applies them to closely spaced X-band antennas, and compares them to conventional methods …

The thickness mode electromechanical coupling coefficient (kt) and the 31 mode electromechanical coupling coefficient (k31) reach 69.0% and 45.7%, respectively, which are superior to the PZT-5H lead-based ceramics of kt ~ 60% and k31~39%. In addition, the evolution of the crystal structure and domain morphology is revealed by Raman scattering spectra, a polarizing microscope and piezoelectric force microscopy characterization.

Urea (CO(NH2)2) is conventionally synthesized through two consecutive industrial processes, N2 + H2 → NH3 followed by NH3 + CO2 → urea. Both reactions operate under harsh conditions and consume more than 2% of the world’s energy. Urea synthesis consumes approximately 80% of the NH3 produced globally. Here we directly coupled N2 and CO2 in H2O to produce urea under ambient conditions. The process was carried out using an …
