The present literature review is guided by the question: What benefits would the inclusion of art as therapy techniques in a k-5 classroom setting bring to all students, regardless of their mental health status, including students who are typical, as well as students receiving special services such as those for crisis, for trauma or with disabilities? A global literature review of material from 2007-2017, investigated the use of art therapy to benefit children’s wellbeing.
