The author describes her experience as TEFL Coordinator for a Peace Corps training program for both Americans and Africans in Togo. The background of TEFL training in Togo is outlined. The organization of the training program is presented, along with problems encountered and recommendations for future training programs. The author also discusses the content of the training program in light of the rationale and goals of training, and shares some personal insights gained as a result of her expereince. Extensive appendices contain copies of the materials used during the training program.

The text gives the students an idea of what occurs in ten different hospital departments and enables them to more easily choose the department in which they would like to work. Problem: There is a need to evaluate the training programs available to parents to determine the effect of these programs upon the children of participants. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of Parent Effectiveness Training upon the elementary school age children of participants in the areas of self-perceived Locus of Control and behavior. Procedure. Experimental and control groups were established with students from four central California elementary schools to obtain data on the problem under investigation.
