The CADRE Project is a collaborative teacher induction effort between higher education and K-12 practitioners. The Metropolitan Omaha Educational Consortium (MOEC), comprised of seven metropolitan Omaha public school districts and the University of Nebraska at Omaha College of Education, coordinates this project. This paper provides broad guidelines for TAs based on my personal experience of being a teaching assistant for three different courses over one academic year. In this paper, I summarize an intense two-week study that I participated in at a Summer Institute on Education and Democracy at the University of Manitoba, Canada, beginning with brief descriptions of the innovation, Nos histoires, the purpose of the study, and the research method.
