The need for estimating population below the state level during intercensal periods has been recognized for a number of years. Many varied methods have been suggested as possible measures; this thesis will examine and test some of these current measures with respect to the situation in Virginia and will also experiment with a new technique.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the cause of the failure of organized medicine to utilize more effectively its medical knowledge, and to lead a conceptual reorganization of medical practice. The thesis will be done by a study of the folklore and mythology of medicine primarily as it is presented in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Some principal economic positions of the AMA in recent years will be reviewed and an analysis made showing some common elements of these positions and identifying patterns of their advocacy. The basic problem confronting the dairy industry today is one of utilizing its total fluid milk production. During recent years the industry has witnessed a general decrease in per capita consumption of dairy products while per capita production has remained fairly constant and in amounts approximating the average for the past 16 years (Table 2 ). As a result the dairy industry has produced a surplus of fluid milk and manufactured dairy products. For one hundred years Cache Valley has been a growing segment of the American economy. Alternating periods of national financial stress and prosperity have been reflected in this Valley. In addition, Cache Valley has been confronted with certain distinct economic and financial problems and has produced her own solutions to these problems. In this study of Germany’s international cartel agreements there will be some shortcomings in the textual materials during certain periods of time covered in this report. This is due both to public apathy in respect to cartels, and the reluctance of firms to publicize their cartel arrangements. In addition to this the main emphasis of this report will stree to ramifications of Germany’s cartel upon the United States in the decade preceding World War II.
