The Maine Folklife Center Curriculum Guide is a way to bring life into Maine Studies curricula by personalizing history and creating new connections between students and their communities. The guide is geared to help teachers fulfill the Maine Department of Education Learning Results (July, 1997), many of which call for primary research and the understanding of individual lives in an historical context.
