For two forensic science students at Cedarville University, doing an internship with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is their first step in securing a dream job.
The seniors, Danielle Banks, from Lexington, Kentucky, and Mayra Chavez, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, were chosen from a national pool of applicants for the FBI’s Honors Internship Program. Both Banks and Chavez used the past summer to begin learning from practical experience with the FBI agency in their hometown. Banks and Chavez are the first Cedarville students to be chosen for the highly competitive program.

Crime Control, Due Process, & Evidentiary Exclusion: When Exceptions Become The Rule, Elizabeth H. Kaylor
Crime Control, Due Process, & Evidentiary Exclusion: When Exceptions Become The Rule, Elizabeth H. Kaylor
Proceedings of the New York State Communication Association
This paper uses the dichotomy between Herbert Packer’s (1968) two models of criminal justice advocacy – “crime control” and “due process” – as a rhetorical paradigm for understanding policy debate about the exclusion of relevant evidence at trial. While both the exclusionary rule (which prohibits the use of illegally-obtained evidence in criminal cases) and the “fruit of …

His ultimate act of service to humankind was taking our sin upon …
