A Proposed Equipment Development Plan For Closed Circuit Television As It Relates To The Existing Curriculum At College Of Southern Utah, Don Lee Blanchard

A study of closed circuit television systems was made which could be utilized to supplement conventional teaching methods at College of Southern Utah.

A basic, but complete studio installation for production work and radio-television class room instruction in addition to four, individual, self-contained installations are recommended for regular classroom use. All equipment is to be compatible and provide for complete interchangeability of tapes within the system.

Present costs of distribution systems indicate that video tapes produced in the classroom, in the field, or in the studio and played back in the classroom would provide better utilization of available funds. It …

The purpose of this thesis was to survey facilities at Utah State University and the Uintah Basin Center, develop teaching utilization models which would operate in given situations, and identify problems and recommend areas for further study.

The investigator found the facilities presently used by the Uintah Basin Center adequate or nearly adequate for the use of instructional television. There are also classrooms and auditoriums at Utah State University which can be adapted for the use of television. However, equipment must be purchased in both localities. The Uintah Basin Center also must have a trained technician responsible for the equipment. …

The present study is an attempt to bring into focus one of the many bases of party power over Soviet citizens. It is no great revelation that the Soviet government has long indulged in anti-American propanda, but the continuity, elaboratness and virulence of ths "crusade of hatred" demands further study. It is essential that such study be undertaken parallel with an appraisal of Soviet-American relations since 1917.

In outlining the chronological development of anti-American libel campaign, some space will be devoted to methodology, technology and apparent purposes of the Soviet propagandists. Space limitations preclude an elaborate study of Soviet propaganda …

This study seeks to describe carefully the professional accomplishments of one contemporary director, Peter Brook, in an effort to arrive at a generalized perspective through individual analysis. The first task of this study is to compile a professional biography of Brook's work - to chronicle his achievements. The second objective is to separate the genre of his work in the various media and describe and analyse his treatment and philosophy of each area.
