The Community Resource Center (CRC) is a 25 year old nonprofit organization providing capacity building services to nonprofits throughout Colorado. Amidst a changing nonprofit sector, CRC has experienced a significant excess of expenses over revenue. The purpose of this paper is to understand why this financial decline has taken place and use an action research method to identify a series of possible solutions designed to strengthen CRC's organizational and financial management. Through analysis of data collected from CRC's staff, Board, and clients, recommendations have been developed.
