As farmland in Cache Valley continues to be overtaken by development each year, local farmers are looking for ways to protect their farmland from the encroaching urbanization. In recent years, funding has become available for purchase of agricultural conservation easements (PACE) programs. Although these programs are quite new to Cache Valley, they have the potential to be an effective tool in farmland preservation.
